Fresh Air Montclair Exhibitions was a township wide initiative to promote and support art and artists in public spaces while enlivening store fronts for community enjoyment. Local entrepreneurs and curators, Mary Scotti of 73 See Gallery Design Studio and Kathryn Waggener McGuire of Clerestory Fine Art spearheaded this effort.
This project's intent was to bring valuable attention to our local creative community, direct retail traffic to existing businesses who may be operating on a limited basis, and re-activate the energy of our vibrant community's economic and social solidarity. We encouraged all participants to actively publicize the effort, encourage sale of artwork and support non-profit and charity workers whenever possible.
